Frank Bettmann
Building Something Real.
In their first season competing at the regional level, Frank Bettmann and his CGU U12 Girls didn't just step up — they proved they belong.
A .500 finish only tells part of the story. This is a team learning how to compete, respond under pressure, and build something that lasts.
What This Season Revealed.
First Season. Higher Level.
This team is learning what it means to play faster, compete harder, and stay connected when the game gets uncomfortable.
The Moment That Revealed It.
CGU led St. Croix 1–0 despite being outshot 5–1. Late in the game, St. Croix tied it.
That could have broken a young team. It didn't. CGU stayed composed, stayed aggressive, and in the closing seconds scored on a breakaway to win it.
A Culture Of Grit.
Coach Bettmann is building more than a team. He's building a standard centered on grit, composure, and accountability.
Several players are already putting in work beyond team training — and it shows.

Inside The Move Up.
What does it look like moving from State to Regional?
This is a club decision. Our team made the TCSL Final Four in both Fall 2024 and Summer 2025, finishing 3rd in both seasons.
We had 7 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss last summer, and we were the only team to beat the eventual champion during the regular season.
Do coaching courses actually make a difference?
They definitely helped. One of the biggest traps a coach can fall into is thinking they know everything just because they played or understand the game.
You can always keep learning. The U.S. Soccer coaching program is very strong.

This team is still early in its journey, but one thing is already clear: they don't fold, they don't panic, and they respond. That identity matters — and over time, it becomes the difference.
